Meet stephen

Stephen Palka joined the Visible City team in 2021, jumping in right away with municipal, private sector and nonprofit client projects. As a geospatial analyst and project manager with Visible City, Stephen collects, analyzes, and interprets data of all stripes to derive a full and forward-looking picture. From this critical work, Stephen is involved in shaping recommendations and working with clients in the all-important steps of execution.

He’s been around the spatial block before: Stephen’s career started in the IT department of a major healthcare provider, and he’s held more recent roles with the United States Geological Survey and the Minnesota Department of Transportation. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh and a master’s degree in Geographic Information Science from the University of Minnesota.
